A divinely refined lily caught my eye, today
Architecturally perfect, in every way
It claimed my attention with sweet perfume
Then lured me in with its lavish bloom
Like strawberry ice cream on a graceful stalk
Arching, seductively, across the walk
Its brown velvet stamens call to the bee
It stands in a vase, at afternoon tea
